Mommy & Baby Look: Plaid on Plaid

Noah has a plaid collared shirt which I purchased way back when he was 3 months old. He's pretty much outgrown it but I love the shirt so much I still let him wear it, though I make sure its worn with a sweater or another layer so it's not so obvious that its short on him.

Anywho, the other day I was unpacking our storage bins and found a super old plaid shirt of mine (circa late 1990s). I can't believe I've hung onto it for this long, but I guess I'm happy I did bc apparently plaid is in fashion again. Since mine is similar to Noah's I thought it would be fun if we both wore our shirts. It made daddy jealous that he doesn't own a plaid shirt :)

You can see how short the shirt is on him hehe. Noah looks different in this pic, must be camera distortion.

So it didn't take a day to build the frame for my repurposed IKEA Lack side table as promised by the metal shop (referring to previous blog post). But I'm not complaining because it was well worth the wait. In 2 days my IKEA side table was transformed from THIS:

TO THIS:

What do you think? Are we a furniture designer in the making? Just kidding. But honestly it's not bad right?! Certainly a vast improvement from what it was before.

Noah's Photo of the Week No. 2

Every week I get emails on Noah's developmental milestones. This week it was regarding "Loveys" and other attachment objects. Noah isn't really attached to a specific toy or object yet but I thought it was cute to see him drag Shneider around our apartment. Shneider is our stuffed German miniature Shnauzer that M gave to me while we were dating (or was it the opposite).

Anyway, around Noah I pretend Shneider is a real puppy and I pet and kiss him, and then I encourage Noah to do the same. It's funny to see Noah try and kiss the stuffed toy, he can't pucker his lips just yet so he leaves his mouth gaping and brushes his lips against Shneider. Noah "kisses" me the same way, sometimes it's hard to tell if he's going to kiss me or bite my nose =)
